St Clare Hospice: Compassionate Neighbours Project

This programme offers support for people who are experiencing loneliness and isolation due to their age (85+) or illness (life limiting i.e. Cancer, heart failure, COPD). Trained Compassionate Neighbours visit members of the community regularly to combat social isolation and offer a listening ear, companionship and emotional support.

St Clare Hospice: The Echo Project

The Echo Project is for children, young people and families facing loss and bereavement. It is available to any child or young person under the age of 21, living in West Essex and East Hertfordshire, who is facing loss or who has been bereaved. We offer aged focus support groups including Echo Connect Creative Bereavement Group and Echo Connect Youth Group, as well as advice and training to parents, carers and schools.

We can also offer signposting support to other services if needed. Help with fuel costs is also available. If you want to talk, we’re here.- GriefLine is a local resource offering emotional support across West Essex and East Herts to anyone struggling with their grief around the loss of someone. GriefLine is available from 8am to 5pm every weekday and up to 8pm on Tuesday and Thursday.* Excluding Bank Holidays. It doesn’t matter if your loss was recently or in the past, our trained bereavement volunteers are here to listen. We will give you a non-judgemental space to talk about how you are feeling and offer emotional support.
