The Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank is here to help anyone in our community who is struggling to feed themselves from day to day. We provide a food and welfare package to last a minimum of three days. We can also offer signposting support to other services if needed. Help with fuel costs is also available. When requesting baby/sanitary/pet food items these are subject to availability and dependent on what is in stock on the day. Please note: deliveries are currently Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.Referrals must be received by 11am .

Yoga for Health is a 10 week course held at Place House Hall, Bluecoat Yard, Ware, SG12 9HL - suitable for anyone living with stress, anxiety or mild to moderate depression, social isolation and/or loneliness or perhaps you feel like you want to gain more control over your own health and wellbeing. We also hold a Community Class on Mondays at 12.30pm at 105 Fore Street, Hertford - this class is subsidised - we ask for donations rather than a flat fee.

Attending a singing session is a fun and stimulating activity, providing health benefits for both those living with dementia and their carers. Reach Out can assist people by linking them up with a volunteer in their neighbourhood who can offer companionship and practical support when they get home. This service is free. Our service supports people who are aged 18+ with a diagnosed mental illness, who are socially isolated, who are known to NHS Secondary mental health services, and who live in Hertfordshire in and around the towns of Ware, Hertford, Hoddesdon, Broxbourne, Cheshunt, Cuffley and Waltham Cross. Our befriending service helps people to re-engage with their local community through group befriending, 1-2-1 volunteers, befriending workers and social activities.
