Always Bee You CIO
Always Bee You provides exciting social and work opportunities for adults with learning disabilities through evening social clubs, day trips to London,create and craft clubs and varied community activities. Come along, make new friends and try new activities such as Karaoke, Street Dance, Song Writing and making your own CD. Or, join us for a pool party, cocktails in London or a trip to Madame Tussauds. If you're interested in work experience we offer group volunteering at Paradise Wildlife Park and hospitality training at Fanham's Hall Hotel.
Work Experience -Bee Skilled provides vocational work based training enabling adults with learning disabilities to gain knowledge, skills and confidence developing their opportunities for voluntary or paid employment in the future.Training is supported by a qualified NVQ Assessor and students will be supported to work towards individual goals. We will also support you to explore volunteering and training opportunities.Our current opportunities are based in hospitality and gardening at Fanham's Hall Hotel and volunteering at Paradise Wildlife Park.
Social Activities -Bee Social provides evening activities and day trips for adults with learning disabilities, our Wednesday evening weekly sessions run from 6pm until 9pm and are based at The Saracens Head Function Room in Ware. Activities include karaoke, song writing, dance and party nights, drama workshops, bingo and quiz nights, Bake Off's and art and crafts. Our Friday evening activities include meals out, theatre trips, concerts, themed events and much more. All activities are provided by proffessional entertainers and tutors.
Creative Activities - Bee Arty club provides a chance to meet up with friends and Bee creative. Make a tie Dye T Shirt, design greetings cards, learn to print on fabric, Discover your arty side making impressive collages, dream catchers and mosaic rainbows. Enjoy a delicious pub meal at The Saracens Head Pub on Thursdays from 12 until 3.
Day Trips - Bee Exploring provides varied Day Activities for groups of friends such as shopping trips to Camden Market, Chilling at the seaside, animal adventures at London or Colchester Zoo, Meeting celebrities at Madame Tussauds, foodie fun at Borough Market, All Star Retro Bowling in Brick Lane, River trips on the Thames and much more. Wednesdays from 10,30am until 4,30pm.
We are a friendly team with over 20 years experinece in supporting adults with learning disabilities. Our work experience trainers are qualified NVQ Assessors. All staff are DBS Checked and attend regular training.
We offer free and paid for activities , the activities are very varied so for different costs contact Jo direct.
