Hertfordshire Mind Network: Peer Support Service

Our high quality 1:1 Peer Support Service is free of charge and is for adults who are struggling with their mental health and wellbeing. Peer Support is run by people who have overcome similar challenges to those you may be facing and for those who care for others. They will support you to work out ways that could make life easier for you and help you to build on your wellbeing.

The areas of support will be built around your needs, to support you with the areas that are most important to you.  We can provide: 

  • Emotional support.
  • Support to improve health and wellbeing.
  • Support to access community-based services, activities and resources.
  • Building life skills, confidence and self-esteem.
  • Support to build social networks and reduce isolation.

Support is provided through: One-to-one support at our Wellbeing Centres in Broxbourne and East Herts and in the local community.  Please note: support in Bishop's Stortford is also one-one support, but within the local community. To make a referral click here

Online and face to face Meeting Places: Our Meeting Places are a safe and welcoming social drop-in where you can feel supported.  These are drop-in sessions, which means people do not need to come every week – Meeting Places | Hertfordshire Mind Network (hertsmindnetwork.org)

Who can use this service?

Adults 18 and over, who live in Bishop's Stortford, Broxbourne or East Herts. Please note this service is for Hertfordshire residents only
